My Dog Thinks I'm a Genius (And Other Mood Boosters)

Every morning, without fail, my dog looks at me like I just invented sunshine. I open the fridge—genius. I throw a ball—brilliant. I put on socks—awe-inspiring. It’s like living with your biggest fan who also drools on the furniture.

There’s something deeply heartwarming about being adored by a creature who thinks you’re the smartest, kindest, coolest human to ever walk the earth (even if you forgot where you put your keys... again). My dog doesn’t care about my resume or my to-do list. He cares that I exist. That I scratch his ears just right. That I sometimes drop a piece of chicken on the floor.

And honestly, that kind of pure, uncomplicated love is a serious mood booster.

On tough days, when the world feels a little heavy, my dog is there—wagging, smiling, radiating good vibes. He reminds me to laugh more and stress less. To go outside even if it’s just to sniff the air. To find joy in small things, like belly rubs and crunchy leaves.

My dog might not know how to read or use a phone, but he knows how to live in the moment. And that’s something I’m still learning.

So, yes, my dog thinks I’m a genius—and you know what? Maybe he’s onto something. Not because I’m solving world problems, but because I figured out that happiness is better when shared with someone who loves you exactly as you are.

Thanks for reading—sending you and your furry friend a big tail wag of joy. I’ll be back soon with another post, so keep your paws ready! With love, Gea 🐾❤️
